Handmade art makes a great holiday gift. It’s personal, unique and it helps support our region’s hardworking and talented arts community. Fortunately, handmade art is also easy to find this time of year. Just check out one of the many arts showcases and sales happening this month. OPB’s Oregon Art Beat crew has these suggestions to get you started.

Holiday Marketplace
For those who prefer to shop outside of Portland, the Holiday Marketplace at OSU features both handmade crafts and fine art.

One of the two major fundraising events for educational programs at the da Vinci Arts Middle School, this popular show will feature work by more than 70 local artists, in addition to items made by students.
