The "Mighty" Mos Def (soon to be “Yaslin”) and Talib Kweli appeared at the Roseland Theater last Friday during their Black Star Tour. This concert marked the first time in a long time that the two transformative and cornerstone hip-hop musicians performed together as Black Star in Portland.
The crowd gave the two emcees (and Jay Rock who filled in for the third Black Star member, DJ Hi-Tek) a warm welcome to the Rose City and maintained a consistent, high level of energy throughout the entire show.
