How did she DO that?

Sometimes the art world can act a little bit conservative. It’s a culture of time-honored traditions where oil, canvas, bronze and marble are held on high while other materials can sometimes be considered more avocational.

Luckily, most artists don’t pay any attention to that. They create art from all kinds of stuff, regardless of what anyone says. Take Portland’s very own Mona Superhero. With an exacto knife and a punk rock aesthetic, this self-taught artist creates vibrant and provocative works out of … utility tape!
