Camerata PYP: Music in the Perl

Weiden + Kennedy
224 NW 13th Avenue

April 28, 2013, 4:00 p.m.

Camerata PYP, the chamber orchestra of the Portland Youth Philharmonic, presents the final installment of this season’s Music in the Pearl series at the Wieden+Kennedy building.

Camerata PYP’s program features a broad, adventurous range of programming in an intimate, engaging environment.  The April concert balances Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 with three works written by contemporary American composers: David Diamond’s Rounds for String Orchestra, Kenji Bunch’s Supermaximum and the American Premiere of Stephen Dankner’s Meditation for Viola and String Orchestra, featuring PYP Violist Maia Hoffman. David Hattner, conducting.
