The Jerusalem Quartet is performing the complete Shostakovich string quartets cycle twice this season — once in the Lincoln Center in New York and once for the Friends of Chamber Music in Portland. The Jerusalem Quartet recording of Shostakovich quartets was selected as BBC Music Magazine's top pick in the chamber music category at its 2007 Award Ceremony.
