Kenneth Standhardt, a Eugene, Oregon-based ceramic artist, creates diverse stoneware vessels that are remarkable for their exterior patterning—all of which is created with everyday kitchen tools. He spends hours, digging 500 to 5000 grooves, to produce a weave or intricate pattern on ceramic. His work will be on display at Maryhill Museum, overlooking the Columbia Gorge.
