Walters Cultural Arts Center: Photography Exhibit
Walters Cultural Arts Center
527 East Main St
August 6 - September 24, 2013
The Walters Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro will host a reception preceding a photography exhibit showcasing the works of two local photographers, Julie Keefe and Pamela Wilkinson. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Portland Country/Americana duo, The Darlin’ Blackbirds. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served by Claeys Catering.
The Hello Neighbor project in Hillsboro is a collaboration with students from South Meadows Middle School, and the Washington County 4-H. It has been a powerful example of how the arts and community can deepen and strengthen each other. The students were asked to interview people in the community that they admire and in turn, Keefe creates portraits of the students.
Hillsboro based photographer, Pamela Brown Wilkinson, has devoted a major portion of her lifetime to capturing images from nature-- landscapes and compositions that inspire strong feelings, as well as reflection, wonder, and laughter.
