The Hallie Ford Museum of Art at Willamette University presents Manuel Izquierdo: Myth, Nature, and Renewal , celebrating the life and career of Izquierdo (1925–2009). Hallie Ford's Print Study Center displays Manuel Izquierdo: Works on Paper. In the Study Gallery, Manuel Izquierdo: Maquettes and Small Sculptures will display a range of models and small sculptures that served as improvisational pieces and exercises that formed the basis for Izquierdo's larger pieces. Izquierdo helped pioneer welded metal sculptures in the Pacific Northwest and became best known for his steel and bronze works.
