Making Christmas Stollen

One of the hightlights of the holiday season for Germans is the first Christmas Stollen, a traditional sweet bread filled with nuts and fruits and topped with a wintery dusting of powdered sugar. Not too sweet and not too buttery, stollen's complex flavors go well with a cup of coffee. Visit the Fressen Bakery in Portland to see them make this holiday treat.
