Geneva Chin

A native Portlander, Geneva Chin spent many years trying to dry out her webbed feet in Honolulu. There, Geneva worked as an Emmy-nominated television news reporter and fill-in anchorwoman, and had stints in radio reporting and freelance magazine writing. She has covered the gamut of stories from a hurricane to crime to education to politics.

Geneva enjoys reading, hiking, eating and taking ballet classes. She also loves traveling with her husband and two children, sometimes to far-flung destinations. Some of their more adventurous travels have landed her son and husband in a swine flu hospital in Saigon and her entire family in a motorized boat plowing through a caiman-filled river in Peru on a stormy night. Geneva thinks traveling is wonderful, but it’s always nice to come home.
