About the Site

Oregon Art Beat at School is an online collection of over 100 lesson plans with video clips and related resources designed for K-12 teachers to use in the classroom with their students.

To create these learning resources, OPB collaborated with many talented arts educators throughout Oregon to develop curriculum enabling you to integrate segments of our television series, OREGON ART BEAT, into your classroom in new and innovative ways. "We believe that the arts is an important part of learning and expressing what you think," explained OREGON ART BEAT's Executive Producer Jeff Douglas. "We are thrilled to make Oregon Art Beat at School available to teachers and students in Oregon through the Web."

About the Videos

OREGON ART BEAT, an Emmy Award-winning weekly television series produced by OPB, profiles artists, musicians and artisans from around our state and region. The curriculum developers for Oregon Art Beat at School have selected specific segments from the OREGON ART BEAT videos and designed lesson plans that incorporate these video segments and correlate to the Oregon Content Standards for the Arts.

About the Lesson Plans
