Susan Daugherty

Susan Daugherty has taught biology, general science, advanced biology, human physiology and pre-algebra or algebra I for 25 years at Imbler High School where she helped develop Imbler's Senior Project "Panthera" and Imbler's student-led conferences for grades 7-10. Susan graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a bachelor's degree in physical education and integrated science, and she received her masters degree in education from Oregon State University.

Shella DelCurto

Shella DelCurto has worked for Pine-Eagle School District as an instructional assistant in special education, classroom instructional assistant and a computer tech aide. She is currently the library assistant at Pine-Eagle High School and believes that integrating the use of computers, video and textbook learning helps meet students' varied learning styles. Shella has an associate's degree from Chemeketa Community College and is working on a bachelor's degree from Eastern Oregon University.

Merrie Hensley

Merrie Hensley is a native of Eastern Oregon and has been teaching for 13 years. During the past five years she has taught fifth grade and previously has taught combinations of K/1, 1/ 2 and 4/5. Merrie earned her bachelor's of science degree in elementary education from Western Oregon State College (currently: Western Oregon University).

Joy LeaMaster

Joy LeaMaster has taught in elementary classrooms, Title I Reading and Math, and English Language Learners and has been a media specialist for 11 years in elementary grades through high school. Currently, she is the media director for the Baker School District and manages eight libraries in grades kindergarten through high school. Joy is also the district curriculum director and staff development coordinator. She received a bachelor's of arts in education from Eastern Oregon University and a master's of library and information studies degree from the University of Hawaii. She completed the education administration program at Lewis and Clark College in April 2004 and plans to become an elementary principal.

Sharon Porter

Teaching for 33 years and still on fire, Sharon Porter has taught in rural and urban schools, kindergarten through high schools and private and public schools from Kentucky to Oregon. She is presently a library teacher for La Grande Schools where she has served for 13 years. Sharon was a Pioneer Mentor for five years, demonstrating the integration of laserdisc and DVD technology in the classroom for Pioneer New Media Technologies, Inc. She earned a bachelor's degree in music and received a master's degree from Northern Kentucky University specializing in educational technology.
