Volunteer Opportunities

If you are 16 years of age or older, and able to volunteer at least six hours during a six-month period, consider one of the ongoing volunteer opportunities below:

MEMBERSHIP DRIVES *
Answer phones and take pledges, coordinate refreshments, tally pledges and/or train groups of volunteers during OPB Radio or TV membership drives.
TOUR PROGRAM *
Give tours of the Portland facility to community members over age 12 (minimum age of guide is 18).
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
New volunteer positions are continually in development. Each month we send out a listing of current volunteer opportunities to all active volunteers. Available positions may include helping with events, being Clifford the Big Red Dog, or assisting with an ongoing project such as conducting research for one of our local or national TV productions.
* Additional training and leadership opportunities are available.
OPB Salutes our Volunteer of the Quarter, Charles Aubin

Charles Aubin supports OPB in many ways. In addition to leading tours of the station, he serves as a leadership volunteer during membership drives. Charles has donated more than 1,150 hours since beginning his service to OPB in 1986.
Always willing to take on more when needed, Charles had already worked a number of hours assisting with the fall radio member drive when he agreed to lead tours for our September open house. He worked a double shift, escorting about 200 people on tours of OPB in one day!
OPB is fortunate to have such a dedicated volunteer as Charles. His skills and generous gift of time help OPB maintain an outstanding level of service to Oregon and southern Washington. Thank you, Charles!
