The Bobby Torres Ensemble
221 NW 10th
Aug. 16, 2014, 8 p.m.
We’re turning up the heat tonight with a smoldering evening of Latin-tinged jazz, pop and funk, and boy do we have just the band for that!
Bobby Torres knows how to put a great band together. With his long history playing behind the likes of Tom Jones and Joe Cocker, he understands what it takes to make a great show happen. His full sized ensemble rips it up every time they take our stage, and tonight will be no exception. As always, Bobby’s famous percussion leads a smoking hot rhythm section featuring pianist Dan Gaynor and Ghanan master drummer Israel Annoh. Bobby’s three-piece horn section always blows the house down and features a rotating line up of Portland’s best players. The band also features vocalist Julana Torres who will also teach you how to dance with an early dance lesson on our specially cleared dance area!
Bobby’s band returned to our stage in June and they really tore it up with some new tunes and they’re fired up to do it again, so get on down here and show your love, dance the night away and catch a local legend tonight! ‘Cause with this band, the party is always happening!
