Is your neighborhood public school serving your needs?

The Portland School Board is re-evaluating the way parents are allowed to transfer their children to schools that are out of their assigned neighborhood. Other districts around the state, including Beaverton and Bend-La Pine districts, are re-evaluating the boundaries that determine which school students are assigned to.

At OPB, we want to know if your neighborhood grade school, middle school or high school is adequately serving you.

Are you satisfied with your neighborhood public school?

We want to hear from parents, teachers, principals and administrators.

If you are a parent, is your child attending your neighborhood school? How did you decide which school your child would attend? What would you do if your options changed?

If you're a teacher or an administrator, have you seen students transferring into or out of your school? What effect has this had on your school or your classroom?
