Oregonians who voted for President Obama’s re-election were celebrating last night.

Obama supporter and former Governor of Oregon Barbara Roberts drew cheers at the Democratic watch party. “I have only three sentences for you tonight, three sentences only, tonight Oregon won, tonight America won, and tonight the whole damn world won,” she said.

However, the night was discouraging for Oregonians who voted for Republican Mitt Romney. John Lee, chair of the Clackamas County Republican Party, said he is disappointed.

“It’s not the great win that I had hoped for Romney,” Lee said. “Would it be better if Romney would have won? Yes. Am I afraid that this country is totally polarized? Yes.”

Lee says he ishappy with the local election results in Clackamas County.
