Linda Magee, the director of Chamber Music Northwest, has announced plans to leave at the end of the month.
Magee says the Portland arts organization has been a huge part of her life and she’s loved leading the group for the last 33 years.
She said, “I’d love to go on and try other things in my life and look at other opportunities to explore before I retire. This is a great time to be leaving and I think I’ve done as much for the organization as I really can.”
Under Magee’s direction, Chamber Music Northwest has built an endowment of nearly $4 million dollars. Last summer, it played 30 concerts to more than 14,000 people.
