A corrections officer is suing Clackamas County for discrimination, alleging that coworkers harassed him because he’s Jewish.
The Portland Tribune reports that an attorney for deputy Rich Sneath filed the lawsuit Tuesday.
The litigation alleges that fellow officers made derogatory remarks to Sneath, and insulting references to the Holocaust, after he made a whistleblower complaint for a different matter in 2012.
Some of the remarks were made on a private Facebook group, according to the lawsuit.
Sneath claims that he was threatened with disciplinary action when he tried to complain about his coworkers.
Clackamas County officials declined to comment on the suit.
