The woman overseeing the transition of Cover Oregon to the federal health insurance exchange, says work is on track.
Tina Edlund says they now have a systems integrator and a contract that makes sure nobody gets paid without delivering. She says the agency has also located business and tech staff together so problems can be quickly solved.
“We’re tracking as we should be tracking,” she said. “We’re making the progress that we should be making. We’re hitting our deliverables. And we’re paying real close attention to the risks that are out there and adjusting our project in reaction to those risks.”
Edlund expects the system to be working when the window to shop for new health insurance opens November 15.
Problems with the Cover Oregon website mean that Oregonians will have to re-enroll for health insurance this winter.
