Americans across the country go wild for Cracker Barrel biscuits or its old-timey ‘Chicken and Dumplins’, and now, West Coasters — specifically, Oregonians — will get in on the fun.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has opened its first West Coast location in Tualatin Monday, serving the restaurant’s signature Fancy Fixin’s like meatloaf, chicken fried steaks and roast beef. Each platter comes with country vegetable sides like fried okra and either a buttermilk biscuit or corn muffin.
Guests can come and stroll through the restaurant’s “country store,” or admire the location’s Oregon Trail-themed decor. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a lighter menu with options like Pecan Crusted Catfish.
Cracker Barrel plans to open three more Portland-area locations in the near future. There are currently 643 restaurants in 44 states nationwide.
