People with information can also email the park at nps_isb@nps.gov.

Evans said the stolen ammunition was behind "multiple locks," but she could not offer more details about how the thief or thieves might have accessed the area, due to the ongoing investigation into the incident.

Officials put forth a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the theft.

The ammunition is stored for use by park law enforcement officers for training, firearms qualifications and regular law enforcement operations.

The theft is a felony.
