Daughter Of Woman Killed In Mall Attack Advocates For New Gun Laws

One year ago, Jacob Roberts stormed into the Clackamas Town Center mall with AR-15 semiautomatic rifle. He fired 16 rounds into an area crowded with holiday shoppers. Two people were killed by those bullets, and one girl was injured.

Yuille’s daughter is Jenna Passalacqua. She is marking the one-year anniversary of the shooting that killed her mother at a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening.

Passalacqua has become an advocate for new gun laws.  She says her mother would do the same.

“She was not afraid to stand up and do what was needed to make changes for the better,” Passalacqua said.

She is scheduled to speak Wednesday at the vigil. There will also be music and a moment of silence for the victims. It begins at 5:30 p.m.
