There's a stir in the Oregon board that oversees people found guilty of a crime except for insanity.
The head of the Psychiatric Security Review Board, Mary Claire Buckley, was placed on paid leave May 2 for an internal investigation.
The Department of Administrative Services told The Statesman Journal the reason for the investigation could not be disclosed because it's a personnel matter.
The board has a small staff and 10 members, who are appointed by the governor.
The board has the authority to commit or release a person at the Oregon State Hospital.
Buckley has been the executive director for more than 20 years.
