A member of the Eagle Point School Board is being asked to resign by other members of the board who say he participated in last month's employee strike.

Board Chairman Scott Grissom says Mark Bateman violated board policy by publicly protesting. Bateman denies the accusation and says he only held an informal meeting with some of the strikers.

The Mail Tribune reports Grissom will urge Bateman to resign at Wednesday night's meeting.

The district near Medford opened schools with substitute teachers during the eight-day strike.
