A small ski resort in Oregon's Blue Mountains is up for sale.

The Spout Springs Ski Area is on the market for $1.25 million. Resort owner John Murray said he believes the ski area is the oldest continuously operating ski hill in Oregon.

Murray opted to sell because he's ready to retire. He said he hopes the new owners will keep the area community focused.

"I would say that it's an excellent, excellent community facility," said Murray.  "I would hope that the new owners would carry on that tradition of it being a nice community ski area."

Spout Springs operates two chairlifts on 250 acres of terrain.
