One of the board of directors of the Sikh Temple that burned to the ground in Vancouver Friday says they were 90 percent finished constructing the new building and had planned to move in within weeks.

Surinder Singh of Guru Ram Dass Gurudwara says worshipers are devastated.

Singh said, “I feel so bad. I don’t know what’s going on. Who did. What happened. Nobody knows that.”

Singh says the 300 people in the congregation had raised about $2 million dollars to build the new temple.  He says the building was insured.

Kevin Murray of the Vancouver Fire Department says it’s too soon to know whether the blaze was suspicious.

Fire crews and agents from the ATF and FBI are investigating the blaze.
