The Grant team beat out finalists from California and Colorado to win Monday in Fairfax, Virginia.

It’s the second year in a row that a Portland high school has won the national “constitution” title. Last year, Lincoln High defeated Grant at the state level, and went on to win the national competition.

For Grant, this year marks a return to prominence. Several times over the last decade, Grant has been one of the top national finishers.
