The May 15th primary is less than a month away. We’ve heard what’s most important to the candidates running for mayor of Portland. We’re continuing our series called “If I were mayor ...” where we ask Portland residents about their top priorities for the city.

I.G. Frederick says she has to drive blocks out of her way to avoid potholes en route to her house. Photo courtesy of I.G. Frederick.

Ethan Jordan wants to bring back weekly trash service. I.G. Frederick would fix the streets. Jarrel Townsend says he would make parking free downtown. And David Reimer says he would capitlaize on Portland's young, creative talent to rebrand the city.

OPB’s Amanda Peacher produced this segment with assistance from Arashi Young, with people from our Public Insight Network. Tell us what you’d do if you were mayor at opb.org/publicinsight
