The final custom-made bike for Travel Oregon's "Seven Bikes for Seven Wonders" campaign has been discovered after a search that lasted more than an hour in Crater Lake National Park.

Leland Gilmore spotted the bike at 7:15 a.m., making this the most time it's taken someone to find any of the Seven Wonders bike. Fifteen minutes later, the 39th annual Crater Lake Rim Run, boasting some 500 runners, took over the park.

Travel Oregon spokeswoman Linea Gagliano said between 50 and 150 people showed up at each of the designated Oregon "Wonders" in hopes of finding the specialty bicycles, worth as much as $10,000, that were hidden at these sites. The first six bikes were hidden at Mount Hood, Smith Rock, the Painted Hills, the Wallowas, the Columbia River Gorge and the Oregon Coast.

Each of the bikes was built by a local bike maker. The Crater Lake bike was built by Mike DeSalvo. He told Travel Oregon that he came up with the design based on the ride and was inspired by the "vibrant blue of the water":

But despite the vastness of the wonders and the vagueness of the clues, took only about 20 minutes for someone to find each of the first six bikes.

"We have a lot of people who are avid bike riders and huge outdoor enthusiasts and they know those trails really well and they found the bikes pretty quickly," said Gagliano.

She said Travel Oregon chose to hide the seventh bicycle the same weekend as the Crater Lake races to show Oregonians what else is going on in their own backyard. Throughout the day, Crater Lake will also have boat tours, trolley tours, guided hikes and an evening campfire.
