Authorities say the Southwest Portland man who was the subject of a search in Central Oregon has been found dead.
Search and rescue crews found the body of 61-year-old Seamus Coleman east of La Pine. Earlier on Tuesday police located his car in the Ten Mile Sno-Park.
The Portland Police Bureau said that the cause of death was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Coleman had been reported missing by his family on Monday night after he failed to return home from what was called a “possible cross-country skiing trip.”
