Southern Oregon skiers and snowboarders have a chance to squeeze in a little powder time: Mount Bachelor is offering deeply discounted Springtacular tickets to Mount Ashland season pass holders.

Tickets to Mount Bachelor’s Springtacular events and concerts are $179 for adults, but Mount Ashland season pass holders can buy their tickets for $49. Passholders can ski any and every day between March 31 and May 25 or so, assuming the snow sticks around.

The tickets are good for use of chairlifts, scheduled events and a concert series.

Mount Ashland announced earlier this month that it wouldn’t be opening for the season, due to the lack of snow there. The ski area is letting skiers and snowboarders return their passes as a tax deductible donation or get a discounted 2014-2015 season pass.

Many ski areas in Oregon struggled with the dry weather this winter, including Mount Bachelor. Though some were able to recover thanks to a wet February and March, Mount Ashland never did. As EarthFix’s Devan Schwartz reported, this is the first non-opening for Mount Ashland in its 50-year history.
