Portland’s online option to pay for the city’s Arts Tax is available again. The new deadline for payment is June 10.

People can pay the $35 Arts Tax online, in person, or by mailing in a check or money order.

Computer problems forced the city to extend the May 15 deadline. The website crashed because the system was overloaded that day.

Kelly Ball is the Communications Manager with the city’s Office of Management and Finance.

We put measures in place that are going to monitor the payment processing and capacity. And so, now if there is a capacity issue, then some of the users will receive a message asking them to submit their payment in a few minutes

Forms to mail in payments can be found on the city’s website.
