Portland Fire and Rescue is asking for the public’s help in determining why the vacant Thunderbird Hotel on Hayden Island was destroyed by fire in September.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Investigators consider the fire suspicious and have not ruled out arson. Tips can be made anonymously. See the Crime Stoppers website for information about submitting a tip.

The Sept. 2 fire caused about 17 million dollars damage.
