Telfer was one of more than three dozen people appointed to state commissions Thursday. All will be subject to confirmation in the Senate.

Telfer was in the Senate for one term and ran unsuccessfully for state treasurer in 2010. She lost her Senate re-election bid last year to fellow Republican Tim Knopp.
