The state has launched a new online service to help Oregonians recover unclaimed money.

KTVZ-TV in Bend reports that more than 2 million individuals, businesses and organizations have lost track of money — a lot of it.

Oregon has launched a new website for finding unclaimed money.

Nearly $400 million is available from the state of Oregon for claim by the owners or their heirs.

The Oregon Department of State Lands manages the state Unclaimed Property Program. It recently launched an online claim service to make it easier and faster for people to search for and claim their lost money.

The new service also includes details on each listing, and a tracking feature to help monitor the status of the claim.
