Oregon lawmakers may have left the Capitol, but they left 19 new interim task forces in their wake.

Task force members are assigned to consider particular issues, and to offer recommendations that could turn into law when legislators reconvene in February of next year, and beyond.

Topics include the transport of aquatic invasive species and the state budget process.

The Statesman Journal reports that other task forces will take up victims’ rights, community college child care services and school capital improvement planning.
