Oregon State University’s baseball team was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament Monday. The Beavers’ dream of reaching the College World Series ended with a 4-2 loss to the University of California, Irvine in the Corvallis Regional.
OSU entered the NCAA Tournament with the nation’s No. 1 seed and hosted the first part of the postseason at Goss Stadium in Corvallis.
School officials say the season-high crowd of 3,435 raised the final season total to 82,085 in 28 openings, an average of 2,932 per date. The Beavers drew 2,032 or more fans to every home game.
The Beavers season ended the with a record of 45 wins and 14 loses.
