This week, Portland went somewhere only three other American cities have gone. The city council voted unanimously for an ordinance requiring business to provide paid sick, starting next year. Now the question is, should the law go statewide?
Also, census numbers show growth in urban and suburban Oregon, but some shrinkage in rural parts of the state.
And union groups are trying to eliminate a warning label on some ballots.
