The big news of the week was happening across the Columbia River. Washington is now the second state in the country that can legally sell recreational marijuana. Oregon may follow suit, and is watching closely.

In Multnomah County, a lawsuit has challenged the county gun control law.

And in Curry County, the Sheriff - stressed out by his shrinking budget - is resigning, and some are saying good luck finding a replacement.

Friday mornings, we take a deeper look at the political developments of the week, with our political guys.

Bill Lunch is OPB’s Political Analyst.

Jeff Mapes is away, so we welcomed Chris Lehman, OPB’s Capitol reporter. He joined us from Salem.
