Portland's police chief is firing Ron Frashour, the officer who shot Aaron Campbell earlier this year.

Three other officers who were at the scene were suspended without pay for two weeks.

Chief Michael Reese says he made the decision with Mayor Sam Adams.

Reese says Frashour’s use of force was outside of bureau policy, which he called a significant violation.

Now the bureau's discipline process has been completed, it's releasing documents associated with the shooting including the internal affairs investigation; the training division review; and various photos.

Chief Reese said the bureau cannot undo the events of January 29th, but he's hopeful the community will be reassured that the Police Bureau is committed to rebuilding trust through transparency, holding itself accountable and learning from tragic incidents.
