The TV show “Portlandia” has been renewed for two more seasons. The show has portrayed Oregon’s largest city with a quirky personality, and it’s been a boon to local businesses and talent.

The majority of the show’s crew are residents of Oregon.

Vince Porter is with Oregon Film and Television, a state office focused on bringing movie business to Oregon. He says the production of “Portlandia” benefits different aspects of the city.

Ninety-five percent of the entire production is local Oregon people. ‘Portlandia’ is even more local than any other project. And so it shows off our creative talent first and foremost.”

Independent Film Channel will carry the show and air the fourth season next year.

The show has a nationwide following and has a reputation for being hip and green.
