Water is safe to drink in areas affected Saturday by a boil order, officials said in a release. Residents are advised to run the tap for two minutes before using the water.
In a news release Sunday, officials said the boil notice issued Saturday was due to the presence of bacterial contamination that was found in a second test of Reservoir 3 in Washington Park.
But later tests conducted upstream and downstream from the site found the water free of contamination.
Customers east of the Willamette River were not affected.
