Q & A: Increasing Logging On Federal Forest Lands

The U.S. House of Representatives is debating a bill that would increase logging on federal forest lands in the Northwest. Oregon Rep. Greg Walden, one of the top-ranking House Republicans, says he expects the bill to pass. Adding to the drama, late yesterday the White House budget office announced that the president may veto the bill. Reporter Amelia Templeton has been following the debate over HR 1526, and joined OPB’s Geoff Norcross  to discuss the situation. Press “play” to listen in.
