WASHINGTON, D.C. – A Baker County, Ore., man was among three U.S. citizens killed in the terrorist siege of a gas plant in Algeria.
In a comment on the event, U.S. Rep. Greg Walden said, “I am deeply saddened to learn that Gordon Rowan, of Sumpter, was among those killed in the horrific terrorist attack in Algeria.”
The State Department confirmed Monday that the three were Rowan; Victor Lynn Lovelady, town not released; and Frederick Battaccio of Houston, Texas.
“I strongly condemn this attack on innocent civilians. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families,” Walden said.
