Delegates are gathered in downtown Portland for the annual Congress of a group called Vision 2020

The group has a national agenda of advancing women in leadership, and achieving women’s economic and social equality by the year 2020.

That year will mark the centennial of women gaining the right to vote nationally.

Lynn Yeakel is the founder and co-chair of Vision 2020. I asked her if she thinks the record number of women who’ll be serving in the upcoming Congress will help her group’s agenda.

Lynn Yeakel is the founder and co-chair of Vision 2020. The group’s third annual Congress, called Collaborating for Change, is meeting in downtown Portland through Friday.

Vision 2020 was developed by the Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership at Drexel University College of Medicine.
