Tuesday is the last day Oregonians can register to vote in the May 21st election. Several important issues are on the ballot, from Portland’s water fluoridation referendum to public safety levies in Lane, Curry, and Josephine Counties, and a school levy in Beaverton.
Mail-in voter registration cards must be postmarked tomorrow. Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown says there are plenty of places to get the cards, beyond county election offices.
“Local libraries, department of motor vehicles,” Brown says. “We are encouraging folks who have a driver’s license, state ID card, or a permit to register online.”
But that must be done by midnight tomorrow night.
Most voters with an Oregon license or similar ID can also check their registration status online as well at oregonvotes.gov.
