We asked sources in OPB’s Public Insight Network about what it’s like to live a car-free lifestyle. Our query was connected to a story that came out today about apartment and condo construction in Portland that doesn’t come with parking spaces.

Some of people who responded sent us photos of how they get about without a vehicle. Here’s one of PIN source Anna Mehrer on a car-less jaunt up to Seattle. You can see more photos in the complete slideshow here.

If you don’t own a vehicle, how do you get around? Send your pic to me at publicinsight[at] and I’ll include you in the slideshow mix.

Here’s Portlander Anna Mehrer on the Seattle Ferry, which she got to by TriMet bus, Amtrak train, and on foot.
