Electric vehicle enthusiasts are celebrating National Plug In Day this weekend on Electric Avenue in Portland.
Looks like there's an electric car party on Portland's Electric Avenue this weekend.
Electric Avenue is a street (SW Montgomery) on the Portland State University campus that's lined with public electric car chargers.
On Saturday, you can go there to check out a variety of EVs and test drive some of them from 11 am to 4 pm.
There's also a party on Sunday. This is all in honor of National Plug In Day. A bunch of electric car enthusiasts are working to get the U.S. to President Obama's goal of putting 1 million EVs on the road by 2015.
I would like to test drive an electric car. Have you driven one? Do you own one? I'd love to hear some pros and cons of EVs from people who have experience with them.
