When I finally dragged my bike out of the garage earlier this summer, I realized how badly I had neglected the poor thing. The tires were flat and the wheels were so warped they warbled as I attempted to pedal down the block. I took it to a friend for a tune up and he proceeded to tell me all sorts of horrible things that were handicapping this 10-year-old Schwinn. But he fixed it up with some spit and glue so I could at least use it to shuttle back and forth to work this month. So, with that let the Bike Commute Challenge begin!
