Video: Tsunami sweeps Brookings boats to sea
Apparently the tsunami following Japan's 8.9 magnitude earthquake did do some damage on the Oregon coast after all. This video illustrates reports that the waves swept boats and dock parts out of Brookings harbor and sent them crashing into the jetties. Continue reading →

Following a disastrous 8.9 earthquake and tsunami in Japan last night that killed hundreds of people, Oregon coast residents awoke in the wee hours this morning to tsunami sirens and megaphone alerts from emergency vehicles on the streets, and evacuation phone calls. Continue reading →
